U.S. ex-congressman George Santos banned for life from Kalshi after betting on own State of the Union attendance
Prediction market platform Kalshi permanently banned former U.S. House member George Santos and imposed a $71,356 fine, Decrypt reported. Santos traded in a market tied to whether he would attend the State of the Union address and then made public comments that moved prices, Kalshi concluded. Kalshi said those remarks affected prices and generated $17,839.57 in profit. The platform cited rule breaches including market manipulation and non-cooperation.
