Cyber attackers used a multi-agent AI framework to steal thousands of credentials in under six hours, a Google report said. Google Mandiant Threat Intelligence Group said a suspected financially motivated attacker breached an organisation\'s cloud infrastructure, built an autonomous attack system and automated scanning and information gathering. The attacker combined an AI coding chatbot with prompts and agent prompts, and used a preset markdown playbook. The report also cited a suspected China-linked group using Gemini for initial intrusion tasks.

South Korea\'s National AI Strategy Committee set a goal for its second year of positioning the country as an irreplaceable core player in the global AI supply chain and a trusted partner. It plans to pursue tasks including national strategic industrialisation of AI data centres, industry and defence AX, and AI security and standardisation, while shifting its operations from subcommittee-led work to project-based execution. It also aims to focus on implementation and performance management as the cross-government AI budget rises.
