KOSPI holds 6,800 for second day on semiconductor rebound; Kosdaq falls 1.56 percent

South Korea\'s KOSPI closed higher for a second straight session above the 6,800 level, supported by rebounds in semiconductor heavyweights including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. The index fell to the 6,700 range during the session but recovered losses and turned up in afternoon trade. The Kosdaq ended down more than 1 percent. In the foreign exchange market, the won weakened slightly against the dollar.
