Sharplink CEO opposes EIP-8363, says it would remove Ethereum key strength

Sharplink CEO Joseph Chalom opposed a draft Ethereum improvement proposal, EIP-8363, that would gradually burn validator rewards to cap the amount of staked ether, The Block reported on Thursday. Chalom wrote on X that the draft could shake decentralised finance and erase a key ETH strength compared with bitcoin. The proposal would raise the share of burned consensus-layer rewards as staking rises, reaching a 100 percent burn rate when about 50 percent of ETH supply is staked.
