Anthropic overhauls cybersecurity program, expands Mythos access to all participants

Anthropic has expanded and overhauled its cybersecurity access program to allow more security professionals to use its top-tier Claude models, The Information reported. Under the changes, all participants in the Cyber Verification Program can use Mythos for certain cyber uses, access previously limited to Project Glasswing participants. The program is now divided into defensive, red-team and specialized access tiers, with Glasswing in the highest tier.

Anthropic launches Claude Opus 5.5, raising speed 30 percent and cutting costs 40 percent

Anthropic on Sept. 22 unveiled its new AI model Claude Opus 5.5. The company said it delivers performance similar to the higher-tier Claude Fable 5.1 on many tasks while cutting typical workload costs by 40 percent versus Claude Opus 5 and boosting output speed by more than 30 percent. The model is available across Claude subscriptions and via the Claude API and major cloud platforms. Anthropic also detailed pricing, developer settings, benchmarks, early use cases and safety assessments.
