South Korea privacy watchdog fines Christie\'s 280 million won
South Korea\'s Personal Information Protection Commission held a full committee meeting on Tuesday and imposed a 280 million won penalty and a 7.2 million won fine on British auction house Christie\'s for violating privacy laws. It also ordered the company to disclose the sanction. The watchdog said a helpdesk employee was deceived by a voice-phishing hacker, leading to a leak of data on 620 South Korean members.
