On2U firms, savings banks linked-investment loans top 500 billion won, expand lending to mid-low credit borrowers
Cumulative personal credit loans jointly supplied by online investment-linked finance firms and savings banks have exceeded 500 billion won, with most users classified as mid-to-low credit borrowers and the delinquency rate below 1 percent. The Korea Online Investment-Linked Finance Association put the total at 502.2 billion won as of July 3. It said the average interest rate is 11.95 percent a year and the average borrower credit score is 739.

Techfin Ratings, KCB to jointly pursue corporate CB business
Douzone Bizon said its fintech affiliate Techfin Ratings signed an MOU with Korea Credit Bureau to jointly pursue a corporate credit bureau business. The two companies plan to combine data, networks of financial firms and corporate evaluation capabilities to build a new system for corporate assessment and supply chain finance in South Korea. They also plan joint research, business model development, marketing and external communications.

IBK chief Jang Min-young says inclusive finance needs lifecycle support, not just low-rate loans
IBK Industrial Bank of Korea outlined a new growth strategy focused on support for small and midsize firms, AI-driven digital transformation and stronger inclusive finance, CEO Jang Min-young (장민영) said. Jang said inclusive finance should go beyond providing low-interest loans and cover support across the full cycle, including helping vulnerable borrowers after funding and aiding recovery when problems arise. He also said the bank is reviewing issues in the current credit-rating system and other measures.
