France\'s lower house passes ban on social media for under-15s
France\'s parliament has passed a bill banning children under 15 from using social media, making it the first European Union member state to implement such an age limit. The National Assembly approved the bill by 279 votes to 81 after the Senate had backed it. The measure still requires a ruling by the Constitutional Council. President Emmanuel Macron called it a major step and urged swift implementation.
