AI cost concerns surge as OpenAI, Anthropic step up South Korea push
More companies are restricting employee use of AI tools after widely rolling them out, citing rising costs. Anthropic abruptly suspends Claude Agent SDK pricing change
Anthropic has abruptly put on hold a planned pricing change for its Claude Agent SDK just before it was due to take effect, Ars Technica reported on June 16. The company had announced last month a change expected to sharply raise costs for heavy users. Anthropic said the pause means users can keep using the existing limits under their Claude subscriptions and that it is revising plans to better support how users develop with Claude subscriptions.

Anthropic unveils Cowork for Claude Code to support AI tasks without coding
Anthropic has unveiled Cowork, a simplified version of Claude Code, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 12. Built into the Claude desktop app, Cowork allows an AI to read and modify files in a specified folder, with extra instructions provided through a chat interface. The research preview is available only to Max subscribers, while others can join a waiting list. Anthropic said it is based on the Claude agent SDK.
