Bitcoin ETFs see $681 million outflow in first week of 2026 as risk-off sentiment spreads
U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $681 million of outflows in the first week of 2026, Cointelegraph reported on Friday. The outflows occurred over four straight days. Funds saw inflows of $471.1 million on Jan. 2 and $697.2 million on Jan. 5, followed by heavy selling. Spot ether ETFs also posted weekly outflows of $68.6 million, the report said.
