Samsung Electronics union holds vote on May general strike plan
Samsung Electronics unions will hold a vote from March 9 to March 18 on whether to take industrial action. If a majority of all members approves, the joint strike committee will secure the right to strike and plans an April rally and a May general strike. Talks have stalled after months of wage negotiations and mediation. The key dispute is the OPI performance bonus system, including transparency and the removal of a payout cap.
