Phantom launches Kalshi prediction market service in U.S., trades in stablecoin

Crypto wallet provider Phantom is offering U.S. users access to Kalshi’s prediction market service, The Block reported on Thursday. Users can trade contracts that bet on event outcomes directly in the Phantom app. The rollout begins on Thursday and will expand over several weeks. Users must complete Kalshi’s know-your-customer checks and fund trades with Phantom’s dollar-pegged stablecoin, Cash (CASH), which is converted to fiat for settlement.

Woori Financial Group said nine-month net profit fell 4.93 percent from a year earlier to 2.66 trillion won, reflecting a base effect from one-off gains tied to an insurer acquisition last year. Third-quarter net profit rose 4.4 percent from the previous quarter to 1.05 trillion won, marking a second straight quarter above 1 trillion won. Nine-month net operating revenue rose 6.2 percent to a record 8.68 trillion won.

Hana Financial\'s 9-month net profit 3.62 trillion won, up 5.6 percent

Hana Financial Group posted a consolidated net profit of 3.62 trillion won for the first nine months, up 5.6 percent from a year earlier, helped by rising fee income in wealth management and investment banking. Third-quarter net profit was 1.22 trillion won. The board approved an additional 250 billion won in share buybacks and cancellation and a third-quarter cash dividend of 1,165 won per share.
