Cursor launches India-only plan ahead of SpaceX acquisition, targets local developers
AI coding startup Cursor has launched an India-only subscription plan priced at 649 rupees, about $7 a month, below its $20 Pro plan. The company said this is its first country-specific pricing and cited India as its third-largest market with high power-user density. Cursor said the plan targets demand between free and Pro tiers and includes local rupee billing and UPI payments. The move coincides with SpaceX’s planned $60 billion all-stock acquisition.

Cursor unveils new agent coding tool \'Automation\'
AI coding tool Cursor has unveiled a new tool called Automation, TechCrunch reported on March 5. Automation is designed to automatically run agents under certain conditions, including codebase changes, Slack messages and timers, reducing the need for engineers to manage multiple agents manually. Cursor executives said humans are not excluded but do not need to constantly initiate the process. The company said Automation extends earlier concepts to security audits and deep code reviews.
