SpaceX wins $2.29 billion U.S. Space Force military satellite network contract
SpaceX has won a $2.29 billion contract from the U.S. Space Force to build a military satellite communications network, with a working prototype required by the end of 2027. The project aims to create a space data network backbone using low-Earth-orbit satellites and optical links to speed up and harden U.S. military communications. The effort is linked to Pentagon modernisation plans and the Golden Dome defence structure.

Nvidia unveils AI-RAN-based 6G vision to turn telecom networks into AI infrastructure
Nvidia unveiled a vision to build 6G on an AI-native platform ahead of the opening of MWC Barcelona, together with the global telecommunications industry. SiliconANGLE reported Nvidia will work with partners including Booz Allen Hamilton, BT Group, Cisco, Deutsche Telekom, Nokia and T-Mobile. CEO Jensen Huang said AI is driving the largest infrastructure build in human history. Nvidia said it aims to turn networks into AI infrastructure through AI-RAN technology.
