Concerns grow over AI-laser health startup linked to Theranos founder
A health technology company founded by the partner of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes has been drawn into a \"Theranos 2.0\" controversy, with concerns over limited publicly available research and unclear commercialisation plans. The startup, Haemanthus, is developing diagnostic devices that analyse blood, saliva and urine using lasers and AI. It is based on Raman spectroscopy, but critics say technical promise does not prove accuracy or reliability. No evidence of wrongdoing has been confirmed.
