Cuba central bank grants first crypto international payment licences to 10 companies
Cuba’s central bank (BCC) has issued international payment licences for the first time to 10 domestic companies to use cryptocurrencies. The recipients include nine small and medium-sized enterprises and one joint venture. The licences were published in the official gazette on March 23, are valid for one year and can be renewed. The firms may use crypto only for cross-border payments tied to their main business and must report transaction details quarterly.
