PJM says fundamental changes needed within years as AI and cloud demand hits limits
PJM Interconnection, the largest U.S. power grid operator, is moving to overhaul its operations as surging demand from AI and cloud computing pushes the system toward its limits, TechCrunch reported. In a white paper released this week, PJM said it has only years, not decades, left to make fundamental changes. CEO David Mills warned the current situation is unsustainable.
