AWS launches Agent Registry to support registering, searching and reusing agents
Amazon Web Services on April 9 launched AWS Agent Registry, a service designed to help companies register, search and reuse AI agents, tools and skills. The registry is part of AWS AgentCore and can also register agents running in other cloud environments and on-premises. It stores metadata such as protocols, capabilities and execution methods, and supports registration via the AWS console, SDK, API or by connecting MCP or agent-to-agent endpoints. It also offers governance features, including permission settings and approval pipelines.
