Philadelphia woman arrested after blocking Uber Eats delivery robot over job-loss protest
A woman was arrested in Philadelphia after blocking an autonomous Uber Eats delivery robot and refusing police orders to move, The Verge reported. Carolyn Marvin (캐럴린 마빈) was charged with disorderly conduct, police said, after repeatedly obstructing the robot near Reading Terminal Market. Marvin told local broadcaster 6abc she was protesting what she sees as robots taking human jobs and said her actions were protected speech. Uber Eats launched robot deliveries in Center City in March with Avride.
