80 percent of South Korean firms say information security matters, but breach awareness is low
Eight in 10 South Korean companies consider information security important, a government survey showed, but 7.5 percent said they could not tell whether breaches had occurred. The Ministry of Science and ICT said 52.6 percent of firms had security policies and 32.7 percent provided training, with lower rates among small and mid-sized companies. Only 0.2 percent reported experiencing incidents, while 31.4 percent of affected firms reported them to relevant bodies.
