Bitcoin volatility falls as it moves toward \'digital gold\' track

An analysis says Bitcoin has moved onto a track toward becoming “digital gold” as its volatility has declined over the past decade. Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan argued that comparing Bitcoin directly with gold is inappropriate because Bitcoin is only 17 years old and far smaller by market value. He said volatility tends to fall as a digital store of value matures, and cited lower Bitcoin volatility over time and greater institutional participation after U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs launched.

Lam Research launches Korea-only semiconductor unicorn fund

Lam Research will launch a Korea-only semiconductor venture investment fund and announced the plan on Oct. 8. The Lam Research-Hana Semiconductor Unicorn Fund was jointly established by Hana Ventures and Lam Capital, Lam Research\'s corporate venture investment organisation. The company said the fund aims to find and invest in domestic startups and new-technology companies with growth potential and help them expand. It will focus on manufacturing AI, robotics, advanced packaging and new materials.

Hana Bank overhauls \'Daldalhana Company\' salary membership, adds promotion system tied to transactions

Hana Bank has overhauled its salary-transfer customer membership service, \'Daldalhana Company\', and introduced a promotion system in which users move up in rank based on their financial transaction performance. The bank added a rank promotion program and participatory features such as daily check-ins in its Hana OneQ mobile app. Customers can be promoted through five levels by meeting step-by-step conditions including deposits, instalment savings, automatic transfers and card use.
