Samsung Electronics said on Tuesday it has added 43 signature works from Austria’s Vienna Kunsthistorisches Museum to Samsung Art Store.

Samsung Art Store is a subscription service for Samsung TVs that offers more than 5,000 artworks from leading museums and artists worldwide in 4K quality. It is available across Samsung’s full Art TV lineup, including this year’s OLED (SH95) model, The Frame, The Frame Pro, Micro RGB and Neo QLED.

Following the Louvre Museum in France and the Prado Museum in Spain, works from the Vienna Kunsthistorisches Museum are now offered in 4K on Samsung Art Store. The additions include masterpieces such as Pieter Bruegel the Elder’s “The Tower of Babel”, Johannes Vermeer’s “The Art of Painting” and Gustav Klimt’s “Nuda Veritas”.

Users can also view Venice and Vienna landscapes by Canaletto and Bernardo Bellotto, Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s “Summer”, and works by Rubens, Velazquez, Caravaggio, Titian, Rembrandt and Raphael. Samsung combines anti-reflection technology with high-resolution works provided by the museum to deliver clear image quality without reflections even in bright sunlight or under lighting.

Jonathan Fine (조나단 파인), director general of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Association, said, "We can now share the museum’s world-class collection with visitors around the world through Samsung Art Store." He added, "We hope the barrier to art will be lowered, and that the emotion felt on screen will lead to visits to the actual museum."
