OpenAI has acquired presentation startup NextSlide. TechCrunch reported on Aug. 8 that NextSlide team members are now working on ChatGPT-related tasks.
NextSlide's website carries a notice from founder Ahmed Beshri (아흐메드 베슈리). He wrote that NextSlide developed a product that turns prompts, notes, documents and research materials into editable presentations.
Beshri said NextSlide's goal is to improve access to visual communication and help more people express ideas clearly.
He said the team will continue pursuing the same goal after joining OpenAI, building AI products that help people create, communicate and turn ideas into meaningful work.
The deal value was not disclosed. In a LinkedIn post, Beshri said the announcement was a few months late and the acquisition took place earlier this year.
Beshri previously co-founded Caper AI, which developed smart carts and cashierless checkout technology. Caper AI was acquired by Instacart in 2021.
