AI model developer Anthropic is partnering with German insurer Allianz, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 9. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

The partnership has three pillars. First, it will enable all Allianz employees to use Anthropic's AI-powered coding tool, Claude Code. Second, Anthropic and Allianz will develop custom AI agents to automate multi-step workflows. Third, they will build a system that records all AI interactions to increase transparency and strengthen the ability to respond to regulation.

Allianz Chief Executive Oliver Bate said, "This partnership will solve key challenges facing the security industry." He said Anthropic's approach centered on safety and transparency will strengthen customer trust.

Anthropic has recently posted a string of results in the enterprise market. In December last year, it signed a $200 million contract with data cloud company Snowflake, and it also formed partnerships with consulting firm Deloitte and IBM.
