KakaoBank will extend by six months its waiver period for early repayment fees on mortgage loans.
KakaoBank said on June 29 it will fully waive early repayment fees for mortgage loans applied for through the end of December this year.
KakaoBank has waived fees on all early repayments since launching its mortgage loans in 2022. The total amount of early repayment fees it waived from its 2017 launch through the first quarter of this year is 214.6 billion won.
It said it has provided customers with financial benefits totalling 1.31 trillion won since its launch, including waived ATM fees, guidance on the right to request a rate cut and cashback benefits on check cards.
KakaoBank said it aimed to reduce customers' financial burden and will continue to practise inclusive finance.
