Cloocus, a cloud services company specialising in data and artificial intelligence, said on May 19 it signed a memorandum of understanding with Seoul Agro-Fisheries and Food Corp on AI transformation based on Google Cloud and Gemini.

The agreement was pursued to help the corporation review the potential to upgrade its information systems using AI services such as Google Cloud and Gemini, and to lay the groundwork for cooperation to apply AI in a practical way in the public-sector work environment.

The two sides plan to cooperate on support for adopting and using Gemini Enterprise, AI-based upgrades to information systems, support for integrating Google Cloud-based services and designing architecture, jointly planning AI trend and technology sessions with Google Korea, and strengthening employees' ability to use AI.

As a Google Cloud partner, Cloocus plans to propose ways to use cloud and AI that reflect the corporation's work environment and requirements, and to provide technical support, training and consulting through specialist staff. It also plans to identify AI use cases that can be applied in real work settings, including document drafting, information searches, data analysis and task automation, based on Gemini.

Young-pyo Moon (문영표), president of Seoul Agro-Fisheries and Food Corp, said the agreement would be a major milestone in AX innovation that proves public-sector expertise does not lag private-sector efficiency. He said he would focus all capabilities on successfully embedding advanced AI technology such as Gemini across the corporation's work so that Garak Market can move beyond quantitative growth and leap into a future-oriented publicly run wholesale market.
