Line Games has hired Yoo Taewoong (유태웅), a newly appointed vice president who previously served as CEO of Neptune and Nimble Neuron, in line with the launch of a new co-CEO structure.
Line Games said on May 7 it hired former CEO Yoo as its new head of management, a vice president post responsible for the company’s internal management. The appointment is part of a strategy being pursued to strengthen business competitiveness.
Yoo graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in business administration. He worked at Hangame and Naver before joining Neptune in 2012 as a founding member. He oversaw Neptune’s overall business and management, driving its early growth and a KOSDAQ listing.
He later became co-CEO of Neptune and led its inclusion as a Kakao affiliate, as well as the stabilization of its management system after the move. In 2024, he served as co-CEO of Nimble Neuron, contributing to a return to profitability by strengthening operations and expanding service for its in-house title "Eternal Return."
Line Games plans to enhance its internal management and control system based on Yoo’s practical capabilities and know-how. It plans to build a system that can lay the foundation for sustainable growth in a competitive global environment.
Yoo said, "I thank the management for entrusting me with the important role of head of management at Line Games, which is preparing for a new leap." He added, "I will devote my full efforts to strengthening the fundamentals so the company can build a more solid system and maximize results in the global market."
