Klucus, a data and artificial intelligence-focused cloud services company, said on Tuesday it has obtained 'Premier Partner' status, the top global tier in Wiz Partner Alliance, a partner program of Wiz, a global cloud and AI security company that joined Google Cloud.

Wiz Partner Alliance is a global partner ecosystem that helps customers protect cloud environments. 'Premier Partner' is the top tier granted only to partners with capabilities spanning cloud security design, implementation and operations. Klucus said this is the first time the tier has been obtained in South Korea.

Klucus said the Premier Partner designation recognises its end-to-end cloud security execution capabilities, from setting security strategy to building and operating it across complex multi-cloud environments.

It plans to use the designation to expand Wiz-based security business not only in South Korea but also in Asian markets including Malaysia, and to strengthen its foothold in global security business.

Andy Ritchie, vice president for global channels and alliances at Wiz, said, "As cloud and AI are rapidly changing how companies innovate, Wiz is helping customers innovate faster while maintaining security." He added, "As a Premier Partner, Klucus will use the expertise it has built within Wiz Partner Alliance to help customers grow more safely in cloud environments."

Sung-wan Hong (홍성완), chief executive of Klucus, said, "Wiz Premier Partner is not a simple technical certification. It is the highest-level partner tier that requires capabilities to design, implement and operate security in real customer environments." He added, "With this Premier Partner designation, Klucus has proven its global-level security execution capabilities and will provide practical support for customers’ security operations in AI and multi-cloud environments."
