[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Crypto asset manager Grayscale distributed to existing shareholders the proceeds from selling staking rewards earned by its Ethereum staking ETF (ticker: ETHE) between Oct. 6, 2025 and Dec. 31, Cointelegraph reported on Sunday local time.
As a result, ETHE holders will receive $0.083178 per share. It marks the first case in the United States of a crypto spot ETF paying out staking income.
Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg emphasized, "This income distribution is a groundbreaking event for both the Ethereum community and the ETF market, and will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen Grayscale's leadership." In October 2025, Grayscale became the first in the United States to activate Ethereum ETF staking, converting ETHE and its ETH ETF into staking-enabled products.
