The U+ Kids Phone Muner Edition 2 is LG Uplus' ninth kids-only smartphone for preschool children and elementary school students. Based on Samsung Electronics' Galaxy A17 LTE model, it applies LG Uplus' popular character 'Muner' to the wallpaper and theme.

Muner Phone 2 is offered as a package consisting of kids bone-conduction air earphones, a Muner pouch, a phone case, a neck strap, Muner stickers and a screen protector. It comes in 2 colors, blue and grey. The retail price is 369,500 won.

It includes an 'AI harmful content blocking function' that detects harmful images and text and sends alerts. If a child takes a photo of a harmful image or captures or downloads it, AI immediately sends a warning alert and guides the child to delete the image. If an SMS message is received that contains harmful keywords such as profanity, it also provides an alert to the parent.

It also keeps the core protection features offered in existing kids phones. Through the 'KiwiPlay+' app, LG Uplus provides features such as child location tracking and controls on app use, which are cited as the most important elements when using a kids phone.

LG Uplus has prepared various benefits for customers who purchase the new product from the 9th. It will provide Kyobo Lifeplanet's 'Kids Care Insurance' for free to customers aged 0 to 15 who activate Muner Phone 2 this year. The insurance provides 30,000 won per case for cast treatment and accident-related fractures for 1 year from the date of enrollment.

The first 10,000 buyers will receive the 'Yudok Pick AI Education Pack' for free for 3 months. The education pack consists of 'ScienceDonga AiR' and 'Math King' for science and math learning, and 'Plang' and 'Learny' for English and Korean learning, supporting AI self-directed learning across all subjects in Korean, English, math and science. Customers can use the education pack by subscribing to the Yudok service.

In addition, among Muner Phone 2 customers aged 18 or younger, Hana Bank allowance-management app 'Aibujah' customers will receive a total allowance benefit of 7,000 won: 2,000 won upon first sign-up and 5,000 won upon the first payment with the Muner card. All customers who newly sign up for the kids metaverse platform 'Kidstopia' after activation will receive Muner items worth 30,000 won.
