KakaoPay Securities said monthly active users (MAU) of its investment community have exceeded 1.3 million. Starting from 280,000 in January last year, it grew about fivefold to top 1.3 million about a year after an overhaul.

Cumulative follows increased to 1.5 million, and the average number of posts written per day rose 2.5 times. 'M+1 retention', a measure of return visits a month later, also climbed by more than 20 percentage points, indicating the share of users who stay active rather than visit once has expanded.

KakaoPay Securities designed a participation structure centered on actual investors based on 'shareholder verification' and 'transaction history'.

It also introduced an artificial intelligence (AI)-based monitoring system to fully automate initial screening of posts.

Previously, it could review about 2 percent of all posts in an hour. After introducing AI, it became possible to review 100 percent within an hour, significantly strengthening the efficiency of managing harmful content and the community's reliability.

A KakaoPay Securities official said, "We will develop the community into a space where people build insights by communicating together rather than investing while worrying alone." The official added, "The goal is to create an investing journey that helps users make better decisions and supports successful asset building."
