Coinbase has returned to Super Bowl advertising after 4 years. Cointelegraph reported on Feb. 9 that the ad is drawing attention with a retro-style production using the Backstreet Boys hit song “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”.

Coinbase marketing chief Catherine Ferdon (캐서린 페르돈) said, “This ad is to emphasize the growth of the cryptocurrency community and provide a familiar experience to the public.”

Coinbase drew attention in 2022 with a QR code ad, which triggered an explosive response that crashed its website. This time, the ad is getting mixed reviews. Some X (Twitter) users responded positively, saying it is simple and memorable, while others reacted negatively, pointing to market instability and an association with President Donald Trump.
