[DigitalToday reporter Ji-young Lee] Hana Bank won Global Finance magazine's "Best Trade Finance Provider in Korea 2026" award.

Hana Bank said on Monday it received the "Best Trade Finance Provider in Korea" award for the 25th consecutive time at a ceremony held in London on March 4 local time. It said the award reflects international recognition of the quality of its trade finance products and services, and its technology.

Hana Bank is expanding support on multiple fronts to help cut financing costs and boost export and import competitiveness for South Korean small and medium-sized exporters and importers and mid-sized companies.

It participated in the "Export Supply Chain Strengthening Guarantee" programme introduced by the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation last year, taking the lead in financial support and liquidity provision for the automobile and auto parts industry and the shipbuilding industry. In February, it also signed a strategic business agreement with the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation aimed at supplying a total of 5 trillion won in productive financing over the next 3 years.

It is also implementing measures to improve financial convenience for exporters and importers, including the non-face-to-face loan product "HANA DIRECT Export Guarantee Loan" and the "AI Overseas Remittance Forecast" service that combines trade remittances and AI.

A Hana Bank official said the award reflects the bank's efforts to strengthen expertise and customer-focused services. The official said it will continue to advance its AI- and data-based digital trade finance system to support global business expansion in a practical way and maintain its role as a financial partner.
