Anthropic has expanded its startup support program and will provide eligible companies with free use of Claude Team for 1 year and $1,000 in API credits. TechCrunch reported on Oct. 6 that the revamp was unveiled at an Anthropic SF Tech Week event.
Companies selected for the expanded Claude for Startups program can use Claude Team, a paid plan for teams, free for 1 year. Up to 5 premium seats will be provided. They will also receive $1,000 in API credits that can be used for Claude-based development.
Participating companies can also use the Claude Marketplace. Through it, they can build plugins for services and can book consultations by scheduling virtual office hours with Anthropic’s applied AI team.
Eligible applicants are companies founded within the past 5 years or those that raised investment within the past 2 years. Applications are accepted on the Claude for Startups program page.
Anthropic explained that the benefits of AI spread more broadly through companies that build services on top of models than through the models themselves.
