Inventory turnover doubles as stock data sets ad and ordering priorities

How online retailers interpret inventory is increasingly shaping advertising, ordering and product operations strategies, Cafe24 says. The company proposed its Inventory Analysis Marketing (AIM) approach, which links inventory and sales data to classify products and set priorities for ads, replenishment and sell-through actions. Cafe24 said inventory turnover improved an average 12 percent at AIM users. In one case, womenswear brand Meriet lifted annual turnover to 20.7 times from 9.2 and cut inventory days to 18 from 40.

Fidelity returns table puts bitcoin, gold and long-term bonds among worst in first half of 2026

Fidelity data show bitcoin was among the weakest-performing major liquid assets in the first half of 2026, alongside gold and long-term bonds. Fidelity Investments global macro director Jurrien Timmer released the latest edition of the firm’s “periodic table of investment returns,” placing bitcoin at the bottom with gold and long-term U.S. Treasuries. Emerging markets, small caps and Japan ranked near the top, highlighting a shift in relative performance.

ByteDance targets mass production of in-house AI CPU by 2027 to cut GPU reliance

TikTok owner ByteDance is accelerating development of a next-generation in-house central processing unit as AI services drive a surge in computing demand. It is seeking to reduce reliance on external GPUs and raise the share of its own semiconductors. The company aims to complete the CPU design by early 2027 and begin mass production and internal deployment in the second half of that year. It is also working with Qualcomm and seeking foundry capacity.
